Welcome to the Third Degree: Tough, Brief, Weekly Interrogations on matters public and private that force thinking and response. This Sunday, after last week’s Crystal Ball prophecies, we target: Display

  • Was lack of “savoir faire” (literally translated, knowing what to do or expertise) in shambles from the Biden mumbling git-go to Dr Jill helping him down a few stairs post-debate or is debacle a better characterization?
  • Does the White House hope that the panicked party and public will forget Thursday night’s, dismal display and “savoir faire” confidence can be rebuilt?
  • Will political tricks of fan-faring some new proposed giveaways or trumpeting make-believe end of the world fears restore confidence in capability and competence?
  • Can the stain of full displayed, savoir faire deceit, witnessed worldwide, be erased by new shenanigans and staging?
  • Is shame shared, national vulnerability put at risk, by all those propping up such damaged goods and policies?
  • Should we beware contrived language, ill-conceived responses, a lashing out, trying to be image tough?
  • Does this moment explain the intersectional pile up of preached and practiced domestic division, economic profligacy and foreign failures?
  • Are the much-used guilt trip monsters on full display?
  • Do the racial and social justice jerks, sexual, gender, ESG, DEI, BLM, Palestinian and climate kooks, criminals not charged, druggies, and illegal aliens, plus corrupting public unions and the tax and spend, inflation causing crowd, all demand coddling at the cost of our country?
  • Approaching our 250th year of official and fought for existence, is our Republic, our version of democracy, in real danger, not the imagined or hyped variety?
  • Have Domestic and International world views of the last few years proved savoir faire fumbling like the man and followers?
  • Will we have the necessary sense of preservation and courage to alter course, go forward, using America first basics, while being responsive to realities and respectful of fellow citizens?
  • Damage done, on display, must we all be much engaged, much on guard, because monsters and their makers won’t go down easy?
  • Savoir faire?
